58 Abel and Lydia's children represent a HUGE gap in the Heidt family line, because the only census which shows all or most of his children, numbering 12, is an 1820 census which only shows the name of head of household, all others are just shown by gender and age range. There are no family records, church records or estate papers found as of yet to help establish the names of nine of the 12 children. Three of their children have been identified to this point. Matthew Heidt, b.1790, the year after Abel and Lydia married, is the first of their children. Christian Heidt is believed to be their 9th child, best as we can tell with census age ranges. And we believe we have established that David Heidt, found in a 1840 census in Effingham County, living very near Matthew Heidt and cousin Samuel Heidt, to be the 12th and final child, the third named child of Abel and Lydia. The 12 known children of Abel and Lydia Heidt, and their genders and age ranges are listed below. ANY help in locating any church or estate records about these other nine children would be greatly appreciated.
1: Matthew Heidt, b.1790, Effingham Cnty, GA.
2: girl 1 (Heidt), b.btwn 1794 and 1804.
3: girl 2 (Heidt), b.btwn 1794 and 1804.

10: girl 4 (Heidt), b.btwn 1804 and 1810.

12: David Heidt, b.1810.

77 Albert L. Heidt, B-1840 : Served in Confederate Army, Private. Fought in the Civil War.
Elbert has mistakenly been named Albert L. in some citations, but there is no evidence of an Albert L. Heidt, only Elbert V. Heidt, b.1838, son of Daniel and Mary Heidt.

80 Ann Frances later married Robert Dasher, on 13 May 1868, by the Rev. J. Austin, theLutheran minister. (Marriage Bk.5,p. 33) . Family F395

81 Ann is one of the previously unnamed children of Christian Israel Heidt, Jr. and Catherine (Nettles) Heidt. She is shown on the 1840 Census for Christian Israel Heidt, Jr. She is incorrectly listed in the 15 to 20 age column, when she should be in the 10 to 15 age column, as she was 13; having been born in 1827. We discovered her name and birth year after finally finding the 1850 census for Christian, Jr, showing him and Catherine, plus daughters Ann and Ellen at home. As far as we know, this is the first time Ann has been established as a named child of Christian, Jr. and Catherine, because of the 1850 census. Heidt, Ann (I27238)

82 Apparently the prematurely stillborn twin sister of Clara M. (Heidt) Clark, because only two months and one week separates their birth dates. Buried in an unmarked grave with father Daniel Heidt, sisters Salome Angeline (Heidt) and Ellen J. (Heidt), brother Daniel Gittut Heidt, and infant, near the graves of George Marion Heidt and Thomas Goulding Heidt.

93 Birth and death dates unknown, however, on the 1900 and 1910 census, Margaret listed both times that she had six children total, four living at the time of each census, so this child must have been born sometime after September, 1883, after Richard and Jessie, and died sometime before the June 6, 1900 census when they were listed as deceased.
Though no burial records can be found for this child, they are likely buried in one of four unmarked graves, which have stone boundaries, but no tombstones, which are directly to the left of their parents John William Heidt and Margaret Leight "Maggie" (Davis) Heidt's marked graves, in the Old Providence Cemetery, in Guyton, Effingham County, GA. Though this cannot be confirmed, because no cemetery records exist, John's parents Isaiah and Sarah Heidt, and John and Margaret's two name unknown children who died before 1900 are now the only four immediate family whose burial locations are unknown.
