  1900 Census states Matthew was born in June 1860, and because the 1860 census was conducted for the family on June 20, 1860, and there is not an infant or Matthew present, Matthew B. Heidt must have been born between June 20, 1860 and June 30, 1860. Some family records as well as the book "30,638 Burials in Georgia" by Jeannette Holland Austin, p.298, document that Matthew B.Heidt is buried at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Guyton, Effingham County, GA, however there are no church records that reflect this, and no marker can be found for Matthew B. Heidt, or his parents James and Ann, whom are also believed to be buried at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Though they may also be buried at Laurel Grove Cemetery North, Savannah, Chatham County, GA, where four of Matthew's siblings, George, Mary, Henry and Roxie are buried with their spouses.
